Over a quarter of a century, OOP provides the platform for both technical and business professionals to update their knowledge and share their wisdom. I return to the conference to reflect on the history and future of objects, patterns, agile and wiki. site
Wiki has its roots in agile, which has its roots in patterns, which has its roots in objects. Having had a hand in each of these creations I know how we became successively further removed from code even as we captured something new and essential with each transformation. We can return. Wiki wants to be programming, but not quite as we've known it.
In this talk I relive the progression from objects to wiki and then sketch the path back again. Federated Wiki can be your next programming environment: a place to do work, not just talk about work. And then we will see how wiki, agile, patterns and objects are improved in the process.
